When I went to Spain, I met with a few potentials to play the role of Rubén Caravedo. After five minutes with Carlos Bardem, I was completely convinced that he was our man. Not only was he just so charming and positive, but also I quickly understood that I was in the company of a very talented individual. As a novelist, several of his books have been published to date and his acting career has really taken off – no doubt – because he is good. His understanding of character and particularly with what he was telling me he wanted to do with the Caravedo character was clear, concise and interesting.
I am really looking forward to working with this Carlos – we are going to have a lot of fun!
