I have visited the Gamarra family in the mountains of Ancash, Peru twice now. Everything I have written in the Florentino storyline of the Oliver’s Deal script comes directly from personal experiences I have shared with this amazingly kind and beautiful family.  They live off their land completely. They earn little to no money.  And they work harder than anyone I have ever seen work.
